A state lawmaker is running for Kansas Secretary of State.

State Representative Pat Proctor is planning to seek the office in 2026.

Proctor, who has spent years chairing the House Elections Committee, is seeking to replace current Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab, who is running for governor.
