A group of conservative state leaders is calling for a Constitutional Amendment to limit the power of the Kansas Supreme Court.

The call for an amendment comes after the court ruled that the state’s new school finance law is inadequate. The state Legislature earlier this year approved a measure increasing education funding by 520-million-dollars over five years.

Approving a Constitutional Amendment would require two-thirds approval in both legislative chambers and a statewide vote.
