Over the weekend, it was reported to Police that a burglary took place at 100 N Fifth; Assurance Insurance.

The building was going through remodeling and was vulnerable to the public, only a board covering a door was keeping those who wanted in, out.

The burglar/burglar’s entered through the board covered doorway and cut out and stole 1,000 ft of copper piping from the building, valued at $5,000.

Police are investigating the crime.
