A teenager is dead following a crash in Jefferson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 16-year-old Kyler Postma was driving on Kansas Highway Four in Meriden yesterday morning when his car went into oncoming traffic and struck a semi head-on.

Postma died at the scene, and the driver of the semi complained of pain, but was not taken to a hospital by emergency crews.

The deadly crash is under investigation.
