Police are called after a restaurant’s deposit comes up short.

Salina Police are investigating the theft of $700 cash from a business deposit made by Kentucky Fried Chicken, 430 S. Broadway, last Friday.

The bank contacted KFC after the shortage was discovered and the case remains open.
