A vehicle involved in a deadly crash is registered to missing Peabody, Kansas, Interim City Clerk Jonathan Clayton.

The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office was called to a field near U.S. Highway 50 and I-135 yesterday after a crashed vehicle was found with a man’s body inside. Investigators suspect that the vehicle was driven off the road and crashed into a tree.

The incident is under investigation.
