A Salina man is arrested for driving a stolen rental car from Indiana.

Police report an officer on patrol ran the licence plate on a 2015 Nissan Sentra early Thursday morning to discover the vehicle had been reported stolen by Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Police arrested 29-year-old Larry Martin of Salina for vehicle theft and driving on a suspended license.

Captain Mike Sweeney says an acquaintance of Martin’s originally rented the vehicle June 8th on a two day contract and then allowed him to drive it.

Martin never returned the car and was arrested after being pulled over in 1100 block of E. Crawford around 2:20am Thursday.
