In Girls action the Vikings fell behind 17-3 in the first quarter as Hutch Trinity raced out to an early lead, and kept the pressure on leading 29-12 at the halftime break. Third quarter saw the Vikings up their scoring but Hutch Trinity maintained a 46-26 after three, going on to win 55 to 33.
In the nightcap the Viking Boys took a 17-11 first quarter lead and maintained a 23-22 lead at the half. But Hutch Trinity would use a 11-0 run between the end of the third quarter and mid-way through the 4th quarter go the lead up to 11 at 44-33. A Viking 7-0 run closed the gap to 44-40 but the Celtics were able to make shots and free throws to win it 50-46. Blake Heble led the Vikings with 11 points, while Cole Brumbaugh added 9 points as the Vikings made 7-18 3’s but couldn’t get stops down the stretch. Vikings will be right back in action Tuesday at Hillsboro.
