A Wichita Republican lawmaker is considering a run for the U.S. Senate.

Senate President Susan Wagle is planning to form an exploratory committee as she weighs a possible senate run in 2020.

Current Kansas U.S. Senator Pat Roberts announced last week that he will not seek re-election next year.
