A Salina man’s welding equipment was stolen from a detached garage.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that sometime between March 15 and March 28, someone entered a garage in the 500 block of S. 8th and removed a blue, Millermatic welder valued at $3,000.

Police say a plasma cutter and welding helmet were also stolen from the building.

The owner noticed the overhead door on his garage was open and discovered the crime.

There are no suspects. Total loss is listed at $4,000.
