Wichita could be close to landing a new minor league baseball team.

Mayor Jeff Longwell announced during last night’s annual Chamber of Commerce meeting news regarding a team could be revealed December 7th.

City officials hope to have an affiliated minor league team occupying a new downtown baseball stadium by 2020.
