A woman is hurt in a single vehicle crash involving a deer Monday evening.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Sharleen Francis of Goessell was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt south on U.S. 81 Highway. A deer coming from the east ran into the passenger side of the vehicle shattering the window.
A passenger in the car was hurt. 66-year-old Diane Loewen of Goessell was transported to the hospital in Minneapolis.
Troopers say that everyone in the vehicle was properly buckled up.
The crash happened at 7:48 Monday evening on U.S. 81 Highway in Ottawa County about 10 miles north of Minneapolis.
