When the Kansas City Royals won the world series, 800,000 fans showed up to celebrate with them at a victory parade and rally. The team is planning to celebrate with fans again, this time giving them a chance to get up close and personal with the World Series trophy.
The Royals World Series trophy is heading out on the road, making stops in communities so fans can get an up close look at it, and take photos with it.
One of stops along the way will be in Salina.
The Royals World Series trophy will be in Salina on Tuesday, February 23rd. It will be on display at center court of the Central Mall, from 11am – 1pm. Fans are invited to come out, see the trophy up close, and take photos with it. Fans can take their own photos, and professional photos will also be available for purchase
A limited number of fast passes will be given away for fans to use between 10:30 and 11:00, before the public session begins. Listen to Newsradio 1150 KSAL for a chance to win fast passes.
A special guest will be accompanying the World Series trophy. Royals mascot Sluggerrr is also scheduled to make an appearance.
